1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how hersic, 45 O'Connor Street, Suite 1150, Ottawa, Ontario K1P 1A4, Canada ("we", "us"), handles personal information collected through hersic.digital and in the course of delivering our programs. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its ten fair information principles.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

4. Consent

We collect, use and disclose personal information only with your consent, except where permitted or required by law. By ticking the consent box on our form, you give express consent for us to contact you about your enquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by emailing info@hersic.digital.

5. Commercial electronic messages (CASL)

We send commercial electronic messages only in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email we send identifies us, includes our contact details and contains a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days.

6. Sharing your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, such as payment processing, video conferencing, email and secure cloud storage. They are contractually bound to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. Some providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. If your employer sponsors your program, we share only attendance and invoicing information with them, never the content of your coaching sessions, unless you authorize it in writing.

7. Retention

We keep enquiry information for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Enrolment and billing records are retained for the period required by Canadian tax law (generally six years). Information is then securely destroyed or anonymized.

8. Safeguards

We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, staff confidentiality obligations and secure storage.

9. Your rights

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or withdraw your consent. Contact our Privacy Officer at info@hersic.digital or +1 (613) 238-5940. We will respond within 30 days.

Concerns or complaints: If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

10. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
